Miles That Matter brought together over 100 community members, 70 runners and walkers, and 13 local vendors for a day rooted in connection and purpose.
Because of this collective effort, 184 donors helped raise over $15,000, directly supporting more than 700 girls in Tanzania.
Proceeds are funding reusable menstrual cups through CouldYou? Cup and the creation of the empowHER Workbook—a bilingual resource focused on menstrual and reproductive health, financial literacy, leadership and confidence.
Together, this impact is helping ensure that a girl’s period never limits her education, opportunities, or future.
This event was more than a fundraiser, it was the start of something lasting.
The empowHER Workbook is currently in development and will be used alongside menstrual health education to support girls in building confidence, knowledge, and independence.
In the coming months, this work will continue on the ground in Tanzania through training, education, and direct community impact.
Miles That Matter is just the beginning—one step, one girl, one future at a time.

We’re a student-led movement breaking barriers for girls—providing reusable menstrual kits and an educational workbook covering topics like menstrual and reproductive health, mental wellness, self-love, and financial literacy—such as budgeting, saving, and entrepreneurship. Every mile we move together helps girls in Tanzania stay in school, build confidence, and shape their own futures.
We’re breaking the stigma around periods by providing menstrual health education and reusable products. Every girl deserves to understand her body with dignity, confidence, and care.
Our interactive workbook uses drawing and coloring to teach about the menstrual cycle, reproductive health, money management, and self-love—making learning personal, fun, and lasting.
Girls are taught how to make and sell reusable pads, manage money, and build self-worth. These skills help them stay in school, earn income, and take charge of their futures.
We believe true empowerment starts with self-worth. By teaching girls to value their voices, their bodies, and their potential, we help them build lasting confidence from the inside out.
